February 13th 2014
Congratulations to all of our pupils who participated in todays event in Cork. A very special word of Congratulations to
Aidan Mc Carthy who is now a Munster Champion.
The mid-term break starts this Friday and we return on Monday February 24th at 9am. The Mock exams will continue that week.

February 11th 2014
This afternoon there will be a guest speaker coming to the school to speak with all Senior pupils on the topic of Addiction.
February 10th 2014
This Wednesday our Mock exams will begin for the Junior and Leaving Certificate classes. Each student has been given a photocopy of the times and dates of each exam.
Thursday February 6th
The Deutschmobil is coming to our school in the morning. They will be doing fun classes with Transition year and 5th years. We are delighted that they chose our school to make a visit to. Danke! Check out their website and our flikr photos too!

This evening the Second Year and Transition Year Parent Teacher meetings will be held in the school between 4:15 and 6:15pm.
January 23rd 2014
Last week the CBS were delighted to welcome back a past pupil to the school to speak about his PhD in Astrophysics. Dr David Tierney graduated from CBS in 2005 and went on to study in Cork and UCD. He is a member of the Gamma-Ray Astronomy Team and spoke to the TY and science classes on Gamma-Ray Bursts and their effects on the world. The boys and teachers found his talk extremly interesting and we thank him for taking the time to come back to see us.

This evening the 5th Year Parent-Teacher meetings will take place from 4:15pm - 6:15pm.
January 23rd
Transition years will have the opportunity to do two new Modules this term. One on First Aid and the other in Drivers Ed.
January 22nd
Today Mr.Galvin and the 5th year class will travel to Limerick to see Othello. Tomorrow Leaving Certs will go to see Macbeth in preparation of their exams.
Tuesday January 21st
This afternoon Aware will address some of our senior students on the topic of Mental Health and its importance.
Monday January 20th
This Tuesday CBS will be holding the Mock German Oral exams for Leaving Certificates. All information is available from Ms. Campbell and Ms. Healy. Viel Erfolg!!
January 10th 2014
This morning Mrs. Lyons Mr. Murphy and Lisa accompanied the two first year classes to Dublin to visit the BT Young Scientist Exhibition. Every year the science department ensures that the first year groups have the opportunity to experience this event. Often a group will then go ahead in future years to take part in the competition. Enjoy your day!
Ms. Kasie Ashton is our visiting exchange Teacher from America. She has been here for the past 10 weeks and has been involved in a number of History and SPHE classes in the school. She has also accompanied teachers on a number of school trips. She returns home at the end of the week and we wish her every success in her future career as a teacher in the States. We also hope that she will keep in touch! Safe trip Kasie.

Friday December 13th
A Big Congrats to all those who took part today in the Annual Christmas Concert. It was a wonderful success and a credit to the school. Ms OBrien and Ms Ahern must be very proud of this years event. There will be some photos and videos of the concert on the photo gallery shortly.
Wednesday December 11th
Fr. Liam from the Franciscan Friary and his team will be in the Old Monastry today administering Confessions to all classes. We welcome them to the school and thank them for giving us their time.
December 10th 2013
Last week the 2nd Year classes were brought to the Dail with class teachers Ms. Moroney and Ms. Molloy. Ms. Ashton and Ms.Lisa visiting teachers from the US and Germany also travelled with the group to catch a glimpse of the Irish government. The group met with Martin Conway who answered all of their many questions. Afterwards the group went to the Dundrum center for a little Christmas shopping!
