Our school has a long and proud tradition in Ennistymon dating back to 1824 when the Christian Brothers first came to teach at Monastery Lane. A new school was built in 1970, an extension was added in 2013 and it was further upgraded in 2015 for the benefit of our school community.
The school has a warm and friendly atmosphere which is characterised by a personal approach ensuring every student is a valued member of the school community.
The success of our students over the years has been exceptional both in further education and in their chosen trades and employment.
We are fortunate to be in receipt of funding from Tomar Trust which allows us to provide Third Level Scholarships to some students as well as providing a range of extra-curricular classes. Each year we welcome back past pupils to present our Tomar Trust Awards.
Here at the CBS we strive to have the values of the Edmund Rice tradition fully realised in our students, as they journey towards independence and finding their place in society as fully rounded young adults.
We do this in partnership with our parents who we acknowledge are the primary educators of their sons. We find it a great privilege that so many parents entrust their son’s education to us.
While our website is intended to inform and give you an insight into our school, it is not our goal to have technology replace personal contact. We would always encourage direct contact in matters involving enrolment, student welfare or in issues deemed personal or urgent.
