This years Tomar Trust Awards will be held Friday 9th of November at 8pm.
Past Pupil and Town Planner in Galway city Mr. Gus McCarthy will be presenting the Awards on the night. We especially welcome back our Graduated Leaving Certificate class 2012.

On Friday before we break up for Halloween our Transition year Pupils will go to Combat Zone with Mr. Sexton for a day of Paintball. Have fun lads!!

Every year we offer our pupils in Transition year the opportunity to do the European Computer Drivers Licence. This is certified by The Irish Computer Society.
ECDL Core is for students who want to cover seven modules recommended for proficiency in user ICT literacy – and demonstrate their readiness for employment or further learning.

CBS Ennistymon is one of 40 schools lucky enough to be chosen to do a pilot course in Computing Science for Juniors. The two modules will include Digital Media and Computational Thinking.
Ms. Campbell attended an in-service day on Saturday at the Irish Computer Society in Dublin. We are delighted to be able to offer this to our present first years in an effort to prepare our pupils for the modern working world.
On Thursday September 5th the Transition year group had a surf lesson in Lahinch. For many it was their first time to hit the waves and they found it a great experience. Fortunately for them the weather was fabulous and the waves were class. Mr. Sexton accompanied the group.

On Thursday March 29th 2012, the Student Council organised a non-uniform day in aid of Autism. They also organised a Cake/Bun Sale. Students, Parents and Teachers provided lots of goodies for sale. Over 300 euro was collected for Autism. Well done to all involved.
Remember that tomorrow Friday 30th March is the last day for submission of applications for a Tomar Trust Scholarship. Late applications will not be accepted.
