A Christmas Message  from the Principal Mrs Lyons

We had feared that our now famous annual Christmas Variety Show would fall victim to COVID pandemic. 

Thank you to all in your school community for thinking of Clare Haven as the beneficiary from your fundraising variety show

This year the CBS Ennistymon will present a Live Streamed Variety Show on Wednesday 16^th December at 6pm with proceeds going to Clare Haven Services.

Over the last few weeks Denis Hynes, the FAI County Development Officer and past student, kindly completed a Futsal education session with every class from 1^st year to 4^th year on the new Astro Turf playing area 

Mr Sean Murphy for a number of years has been quietly pioneering teaching coding to our students as part of a lunchtime computer club.

The CBS Ennistymon invites you on a short journey of Scientific exploration with our science teachers with Mr. Sean Murphy,  Mr. Cathal McMahon & Ms. Louise Kennedy our science teachers.

On the final day of school before the midterm break we held a bonding day for our new first year students.

On October 19th, 2020, our TY class group spent the day participating in a 'Develop Me' program.

Usually at this stage of the school year, prospective First Year students and their parents would have visited our school for our open evening. 

We at the CBS Ennistymon are delighted to announce that the window for us to accept  applications for admission to First Year 2021/22 is now open.

Our TY class group went surfing for three consecutive Fridays as part of our wellbeing program.

The study of history is about exploring our past.

The CBS Ennistymon Azzuri Shop is now open for orders until October 18^th 2020

A few days ago our TY class went on a trip to the Inis Oirr one of the Aran islands.

The CBS marked Culture Night 2020 with a school-wide celebration of music, song and cultural
awareness.

 Six months after we closed, we have finally completed a full week at school with all classes in attendance.

It will soon be time for 6^th class students and  their parents to choose which secondary school in which they would like to continue their education for the next six years.

Bus Éireann and the Department of Education and Skills has issued the attached information document relating to the School Transport Scheme for the school year 2020/21

The Leaving Certificate results are expected to be published on next Monday 7^th September 2020.
