This is our third year celebrating Culture Night. In previous years we have performed aspects of our culture in the Ennistymon Courthouse Gallery and the Teach Ceoil. This year, under the constraints of Covid-19, the Creative Arts team have created a Culture Night video which celebrates that which embodies culture for our students and school community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the video, particularly Neville Fitzpatrick and past students Matthew Kelly and Jon O’Connell.
During the school day we had wonderful outdoor entertainment from students and staff in the glorious sunshine. Traditional music came from staff members Bríd O’Donoghue and Mr. Murphy, along side Leaving Cert student Tommy Noonan and Second Year Emmet Tierney. Singing and guitar was fantastic from Second Year Sean Daniels and Fifth Year Eoin Dalton, and pianist Tom Dandoy in Third Year. It was wonderful to have so many staff and students enjoy the entertainment, alongside Brother Liam of the Monastery.
Thank you to all involved. Culture is a breath of fresh air in the best of times. In our current climate it is so important to hold dear that which makes us a valued school community.
