On 4th October 2018, Ms Campbell’s Higher Level Leaving Cert German class went on a school trip to Austria’s capital, Vienna in order to improve our German.
Every year, as is the tradition, Ennistymon CBS marks the opening of the academic school year with a Mass in the local parish church.

On the 3rd of October, CBS Ennistymon of Clare played Dungarvan of Waterford in the first round of Munster hurling.
CBS Annual School Mass Friday October 12th at 12 Noon
During summer term 2018, 5th Year students from the Religion and Physics departments made the trip to Belfast and Armagh.
Culture Night 2018
Culture Night began early for the Monastery Boys of the CBS. At 12 Noon on Friday September 21st, the students engaged in a presentation at the Courthouse Gallery & Studios, Ennistymon.

The feast day of Blessed Edmund Rice was celebrated in style at Ennistymon CBS in the company of all the first year students with teachers Emma Jane Browne, Gerry Sexton and local curate Fr.Des Forde. The ceremony included prayers, reflections sons and traditional music. Br. Liam O Meara, now the last brother standing since 1824, when the school was founded, also made a guest appearance. The monastery as it is affectionately known locally is still going strong after nearly 200 years due in no small way to the wonderful leadership qualities of Principal Mary Lyons ably assisted by deputy principal, the legendary Michael Clohessy backed by a great staff! Deo Gratias!
In October 2017 two CBS Transition Year students, Adam Daniels and Ruairí Murphy joined the Ennistymon Choral Society in rehearsals for Crazy for You, the new Gershwin musical comedy.
The CBS Ennistymon, clinched a historic victory beating St Mary’s Newport with a score of 3-14 to 3-4 in the Munster Colleges U-15D Final.
