Blessed Edmund Rice Feast Day

The feast day of Blessed Edmund Rice was celebrated in style at Ennistymon CBS in the company of all the first year students with teachers Emma Jane Browne, Gerry Sexton and local curate Fr.Des Forde. The ceremony included prayers, reflections sons and traditional music. Br. Liam O Meara,  now the last brother standing since 1824, when the school was founded, also made a guest appearance. The monastery as it is affectionately known locally is still going strong after nearly 200 years due in no small way to the wonderful leadership qualities of Principal Mary Lyons ably assisted by deputy principal, the  legendary Michael Clohessy backed by a great staff! Deo Gratias!
