Video Message from Dr Tony Holohan, the Chief Medical Officer

Message for Leaving Certificate Students and their Parents from Dr Tony Holohan.

Well, you're coming to the end of what's been a very difficult year. I want to acknowledge all the work that you as students and your parents and teachers did to keep you safe all the way through the year. But now as you come towards the end of the year as Leaving Cert students, you're thinking about the Leaving Cert exams. And those of who you are going to be sitting exams, the real question you'll have is, "how can I make this as safe as possible for myself?" So, plan ahead, think about as you finish classes and you'll have a period of time before your exams commence on the 9th of June. That's a period of time when you really need to restrict your movements, limit your contacts, really limit the chance of you picking up this illness because you don't want to find yourself in a situation where illness prevents you from being able to sit this written exam after all the work that you've done.
