Cancer Awareness Non Uniform Day

On Friday 1st May the CBS was delighted to hold a non-uniform day in aid of The Marie Keating Foundation, with a pink theme chosen for the day.

The Marie Keating Foundation receives only a small amount of government funding and all of their services are provided free of charge. Without support from fundraisers and volunteers they cannot continue to provide these vital services. Earlier in the week Nurse Elisha from the foundation gave a wonderful talk to our Leaving Cert students on the importance of cancer screening and awareness.

Our students really embraced the theme, with 3rd Year student James Cloney dying his hair bright pink for the day and raising €500 in the process. Well done to all involved, especially Ms. Molloy for organising the day.
