By far the greatest benefit was learning what career path I wanted to pursue, which lead to learning what college course I wanted to take up. Transition Year and the encouragement of Teachers and Guidance Counsellors really showed me that Software Development was the right career path for me and now I’m doing a level 8 Honours Software Development Degree in GMIT, it’s a 4 year course and I’ve loved every bit of it so far.
