All Senior Cycle Students are required to purchase their own textbooks, workbooks and other equipment. However, we do urge students to cover and maintain their books as they are very expensive, and a well maintained book may have a good resale value.
Copybooks
As part of the school’s Covid-19 risk assessment it was identified that it would be extremely difficult to maintain the required social distancing with students gathering at lockers at various times during school day.
Consequently, the school will not be providing lockers for the coming school year.
In order to reduce the weight of school bags we have been looking at ways to reduce the number of copybooks required.
We are suggesting that students just bring a ring binder and an A4 refill pad with a supply of poly pockets instead of using copy books of each subject. Alternatively, students could purchase ‘A4 pukka pads’ or similar.
