Beginning on a Thursday morning, the group, joined by six fellow students from Scoil Mhuire, travelled to Belfast and undertook a historical tour of the city, taking time to visit the Ulster Museum, where the students had the opportunity to see an exhibition of Leonardo Da Vinci. Walking through the Botanic Gardens was a treat. The students took time to study the famous Bobby Sands Mural and International Wall Murals near the Falls road. The bus tour through the Peace Walls and further city was a wonderful experience.
Friday morning the group travelled to the lovely city of Armagh to visit the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium. This was a fascinating visit, with the students building and launching rockets using Newtons Third Law, watching We Are Stars in the dome digital theatre, learning the constellations and getting a taste of how astronauts feel on the digital space rollercoaster.
All students represented their school with honour and enjoyed the trip immensely.
