Second Year Basketball Blitz

CBS Ennistymon Second Year basketball team got off to a wonderful start with two wins in today blitz held in Tulla. 

First opposition were Spanish Point, who got the first score but once CBS settled, the scores started to mount up. Ciaran Harrington controlled the game with baskets in each games and was successful when he stepped up to the free throw line. Brendy Rouine contributed with a three pointer and held off the opposition with Cillian O’Conor and Oisin Monaghan with rebounds and interception of the ball. Macdara O’ Keefe found the basketball hoop on a few occasions. CBS were successful at the final whistle with a final score line of 33-7.

Tulla was the next oposition team. Oliver Considine and Dylan Heneghan scored baskets here to settle the game and get CBS off to a great start which continued throughout the game. Josh Guyler created many scores and assisted with a few and intercepted the ball on many occasions which resulted in scores for the CBS.

Tom Hannahan and Liam Cotter played an important role with a few steals and Mathew Sheridan helped convert the steals into scores to add more points to the score board.

Cian Ó Conchuir played along side Oliver Considine and moved the ball up the court in order to add to the CBS scores. Here again CBS came out on top with a strong finish of 24-10. Well done to all, two great wins but next day out will be the big one on home turf.
