The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2018

The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2018 features two very innovative but very different projects from CBS Ennistymon.

Niall Hegarty and Ruairi Murphy entered the Social and Behavioural Sciences category with a project entitled “Meditation and Well-being- what’s the link?” a project which studied the patterns of the well-being of meditating participants over three weeks

Patrick Sheridan entered a project in the technology category entitled “Investigating the energy impact of crypto-currency mining” where he takes a look at the feasibility of mining Bitcoin using renewable energy sources. Patrick’s project has already been viewed by President Michael D. Higgins who requested to view Patrick’s project.

The boys are presenting their projects to judges and the public at the RDS until Friday when the results of the competition will be announced.
