On December 4th, Transition year students took the opportunity to visit the Shannon College of Hotel Management, to take part in a “taster day” of this world renowned fraternity. The college kindly offered our students the chance to experience first hand, what life may be like if they decide to choose one of the two honour bachelor degree programmes in business studies and hotel management. These Level 8 degrees, equip graduates to reach the position of hotel manager or similar management positions within the international hotel industry. Furthermore, the college provides work placements in leading hotels in Ireland and worldwide, which helps assure the 100% employment on graduation, which the college is rightly proud of!

Along with students from seven other schools from the Munster region, our boys represented the school with pride. They took short modules that gave them a taste of life inside the college, from businesses classes, housekeeping and a look inside the college kitchen! All were given a certificate of completion and a goodie bag to take home. A great, informative day all round at what is, the closet college in distance to the CBS!
