Clare Secondary Schools Cross Country

Secondary schools of Clare descended on Lee’s Road Ennis recently to compete it the Clare Cross Country Competition organized by CBS teacher  Mr John Galvin.

It was very competitive meet under glorious sunshine.  There was great team effort put in by the CBS minor and junior teams, but the first medals of the day went to our intermediate team claiming a well-deserved bronze medal. Cillian Mc Groary was fifth home in the u 19 senior men’s race claiming an individual medal putting in a fantastic performance with athletes 4-5 years his senior he was closely followed home by the rest of the senior team who won a silver team medal. The cross country athletes will now go on to the North Munster Schools Competition which will be held in the coming weeks.
